Ryan Sessegnon made his second Tottenham appearance on Wednesday night in the Champions League as Spurs cruised to a 4-0 win in Serbia against Red Star Belgrade – and a Tottenham-linked right-back has sent him a message on Instagram.
The 19-year-old star joined Tottenham on deadline day alongside Giovani Lo Celso in the summer, but the England youth international has since been recovering from a long-term muscle problem. Now, he is fighting fit.
Indeed, Sessegnon made his debut for a minute against Everton on Sunday, before being given 15 minutes by Mauricio Pochettino against Red Star. Some brilliant movement on the left flank saw Sessegnon create Tottenham’s fourth goal.
Found by Danny Rose, Sessegnon had space ahead of him before pulling back enatly for Christian Eriksen to bundle the ball home. He posted on Instagram, with Fulham skipper Tom Cairney and Norwich ace Max Aarons responding to his post.
TBR’s view – Could Sessegnon presence boost reported Aarons pursuit?
The Daily Mail claim Tottenham are interested in the England Under-21 international, after breaking into Norwich’s side and remaining first choice since. He has clocked up 53 appearances at senior level, despite his tender age.
Spurs desperately need a right-back, and Aarons is young, English, and perfect for Tottenham’s style of play. The only issue is that Spurs will not be the only club eyeing Aarons – especially with The Mail claiming Norwich want just £20million.
The presence of Sessegnon at Spurs, who is Aarons England Under-21 teammate, will only boost Spurs’ bid to sign Aarons.
