Well, that was quite the humbling for Tottenham, as goals from Wilfried Zaha and Odsonne Edouard saw Spurs suffer their first Premier League defeat of the season.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, who sat top of the Premier League going into the game, have now come well and truly crashing back down to earth.
Of course, it must be noted that Spurs were without Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez due to COVID-19 protocols.
Nuno was also without Heung-min Son due to illness, which seemed to have a huge impact on Harry Kane’s display as he did something unfathomable.
A first in Harry Kane’s Premier League career
For the first time in his Premier League career, Kane failed to have a single shot in the opposition box in a match where he played all 90 minutes.
Somewhat incredibly, that isn’t the worst of it.
Kane also failed to have a touch – yes, a touch – inside Crystal Palace’s box at Selhurst Park earlier today, which is quite unbelievable.
Where was the creativity for Tottenham against Crystal Palace?

Credit to Joachim Andersen and Marc Guéhi, as they marked Kane out of the game in all honesty.
However, the lack of service into the England international was extremely worrying, as was Nuno’s reaction to it.
The Portuguese coach had options to change this issue, with Bryan Gil and Tanguy Ndombele sat on the bench at Selhurst Park.

Oddly, neither were introduced.
In fairness, an injury to Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga’s red card forced Nuno’s hand, although he still had one substitution he didn’t make.
A very, very concerning day indeed for the north Londoners.
