‘To lower his value so Arsenal can afford him’: Some Gunners fans react to £35m man’s display

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Dayot Upamecano’s latest display.

Arsenal have been linked with the RB Leipzig man for some time now, the centre-back thought to be high on Mikel Arteta’s list of targets as he looks to bolster his defensive ranks.

According to Talksport, the Gunners want to sign Upamecano and a recent report from Bild claims his price tag has dropped from £55million to £35million.

However, the Frenchman didn’t have the best day at the office on Saturday against Paderborn, to say the least.

With Leipzig leading 1-0, and Upamecano already on a booking, he kicked the ball away in frustration after conceding a free kick close to half time.

The referee was left with little choice but to show him a second yellow, and his side was left with ten men for the entirety of the second half.

Leipzig ended up with a share of the spoils as Christian Strohdiek netted in second-half injury time for a 1-1 draw.
