Leeds United look set to finally make use of their links between Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and their new head coach Marcelo Bielsa. Jack Harrison is set to join the Championship side on loan for the season, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
It will be a great deal for Leeds, considering the talent of the player. Whilst he never quite got to grips with Tony Pulis at Middlesbrough, his time in the United States should excite Leeds fans.
Harrison played 59 times in Major League Soccer. During that time he scored 14 goals and provided 10 assists but his performances were far better than his stats might suggest.

He also played and worked with some world-class talent. Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo were both team-mates for a time whilst Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira was his manager. Spain’s all-time leading scorer was also with him in New York. David Villa was a huge fan of the young English winger, as evident from his goodbye message when Harrison agreed a Manchester switch in January.
“Golden boy, I will miss you so much but I’m very happy for you.
“You deserve it for all the hard work and dedication you show every single day. Good luck, mate.”

Pirlo was also a fan, telling talkSPORT in an interview of his belief that Harrison could make a fist of it in Europe.
“He is very young, he’s fast and he is capable of playing in Europe. He’s a good player.”

So Leeds seem to have their hands on a real talent who has impressed some of the best of the passing generation.
Leeds fans will hope he can live up to such heady praise.
