Liverpool target, Timo Werner, has potentially handed the Reds a transfer boost by admitting he’d rather move away from Germany than sign for Bayern Munich.
Werner is one of the top targets for officials at Anfield this summer. The German striker has impressed for RB Leipzig once more and could be available for around £50m.

A number of clubs are said to be keen on Werner, including Inter Milan and Bayern Munich. Liverpool, meanwhile, have been heavily linked with making a move by a number of outlets.
And speaking to Bild, Werner appeared to give Liverpool a boost by conceding a move to Bayern is not top of his list.
“Bayern are a great club. But if a move were to become an issue at some point, I would be more tempted by a move abroad than a move to Bayern,” Werner said.
Werner has already seemingly conquered the Bundesliga. He’s scored an impressive 21 goals in just 25 league games this term. That, then, seems to be influencing his thinking.
“The challenge of another league would appeal to me a little more than a move within the Bundesliga,” Werner added.

Despite the links, Leipzig have remained confident of keeping hold of their talisman. Indeed, their chief executive, Oliver Mintzlaff spoke about his club’s stance just a few weeks ago.

Despite current global economics playing a part in the upcoming transfer window, Liverpool should still be ensuring that Timo Werner is their number one target.
The striker has been linked too heavily for the Reds to simply allow the move to pass over. Furthermore, Werner is a quality player who is only going to get better.
It’s imperative that the Reds keep improving season upon season. That means not standing still in the transfer market.
While funds available might well be lower this summer, Liverpool should still ensure Werner signs on the dotted line.
