‘Time to move him on’ – Aston Villa fans lose patience with Scott Hogan

With Tammy Abraham reportedly set to leave Aston Villa, yesterday’s FA Cup match was a perfect chance for Scott Hogan to stake a first-team claim.

Sky Sports News reports that Abraham is close to joining Wolves on loan from Chelsea, which would see his Aston Villa deal cut short.

The 21-year-old arrived on a season-long loan from the Premier League side and he has scored 16 goals to top the scoring charts in the Championship.

But with his exit seemingly imminent, Dean Smith has to find his replacement quickly.

Unfortunately for Aston Villa fans, Hogan once again failed to take his chance.

The Villans were beaten 3-0 by Swansea City and the 26-year-old missed the two best chances of the match – both from close range.

This will come as a real blow to Smith. Hogan did plenty of running but that quality in the final third was lacking.

Aston Villa fans took to social media to discuss the future of the Republic of Ireland international.

With just 10 goals since January 2017, Hogan’s time at Aston Villa has been unsuccessful.

Here are some opinions on Hogan’s FA Cup display.
