‘Best player on the pitch’: Sky pundit blown away by ‘absolutely magnificent’ Liverpool player against Norwich

Well, Luis Diaz seems to be going about things in the right way in terms of making a name for himself with the Liverpool fans.

Diaz was handed a start against Norwich City today and was simply sensational. He got his first goal for the club with a well-taken finish in the second half before leaving to a standing ovation from the Anfield crowd. Certainly, the Colombian has made quite the start to his Liverpool career.

And his performance today was once again eye-catching, with Sky Sports pundit Tim Sherwood the man to witness to the full force of Diaz against the Canaries.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday during the game, Sherwood said he believed Diaz was the best player for Liverpool today.

“Luis Diaz, what a player this kid is. I mean, absolutely fantastic,” Sherwood commented in the first half.

Then, when Diaz notched his goal, Sherwood was again left waxing lyrical about the winger.

“Luis Diaz has been the best player on the pitch. Out of possession he gets it back as quick as possible, in possession he’s absolutely magnificent. Absolutely fantastic.”

TBR’s View: Luis Diaz Already A Liverpool Favourite

I mean, what can you really say about Diaz? He looks like he has been with Liverpool and Klopp for years and looks like he should be starting every week already.

Certainly, if Mo Salah does leave, Diaz looks like being ready to step up to the plate. This was an outstanding Anfield display and if he continues like this, Liverpool might have signed yet another bargain like they did with Diogo Jota.
