Time could be up for Jordan Rossiter at Rangers

When Rangers announced their Europa League squad last week there was some key absentees. Lee Wallace, for example, was left out of the squad. Another player who missed out was Jordan Rossiter.

The 21-year-old is again struggling with an injury and will not play any part in Rangers’ European group stage.

But surely, it also points toward the end of his Rangers career?

This season looked like it could be Rossiter’s for the taking. With the appointment of his former Liverpool team-mate and idol Steven Gerrard as manager, many suggested Rossiter would get an extended chance at Ibrox.

But his injury record has again come back to haunt him and Rangers appear to be moving on without him. In the past two seasons, he has managed just 11 games for the Ibrox club and is yet to feature this term.

Rossiter simply cannot be relied upon by Rangers and Gerrard will surely not have the youngster at the forefront of his mind for the future.

This looked like it could have been Rossiter’s season to finally show Rangers fans just what he is capable of. However, with another injury plaguing him, time is surely running out at Ibrox for the midfielder.
