Celtic failed to move back to the top of the Scottish Premiership yesterday after a 1-1 draw with Motherwell. Despite another goal from Ryan Christie, a late Danny Johnson goal gave Motherwell a draw against the Bhoys.
It leaves Celtic third in the table, after Kilmarnock leapfrogged both Old Firm sides, with Rangers losing to Aberdeen and Killie beating Livingston.
It was a game that Celtic should have won but in the end, let themselves down with some poor individual displays. One player who continued to struggle was striker Leigh Griffiths.

He missed a penalty in the game to compound his recent misery.
The Scotland international has struggled with a knee injury this season and has been far from his clinical self. He has scored just two goals in the league this season, continuing his downward trend since 2015-16. That season, he scored 31 league goals in 34 appearances. One year later, he managed just 18 and last season just nine.
Celtic’s system under Brendan Rodgers involves being able to trust the rotation of the strikers but, at present, Griffiths cannot be trusted in the same manner as Odsonne Edouard.
His star is fading. After 104 goals in 201 games for Celtic, his manager Brendan Rodgers must be starting to consider if another striker is needed to rotate with Edouard.
