Former Tottenham midfielder, Tim Sherwood, has admitted to being baffled by seeing former Spurs star Christian Eriksen wind up at Brentford this season.
The Danish midfielder signed for the Bees in January as he bids to resurrect his career after the scary moment in Euro 2020 which saw Eriksen collapse to the floor. Restrictions on health meant he had to leave Inter Milan, but he is now back in the Premier League and scoring goals for Denmark, too.

However, former Spurs star Sherwood has claimed that Eriksen should be nowhere near Brentford, and insisted he should be at either Tottenham, Manchester United, or another ‘big’ club.
“This guy shouldn’t be at Brentford. He shouldn’t be there. He should be at Tottenham. He should be back there. He should be at Man United,” Sherwood told the Kelly and Wrighty Show.
Interestingly, Eriksen – who was branded ‘incredible’ for making his return to football – has actually been linked with a return to Spurs this summer. Respected Spurs journalist Alasdair Gold made the claim just a few days back.
TBR’s View: Eriksen Gets A Big Move If He Stays Fit
There will always be a doubt over whether Christian Eriksen can quite get back to his very best but he is showing little signs of waning at the moment, to be honest.
Put simply, if he performs for Brentford as we all know he can, then a move this summer might come his way. A return to Tottenham would not be a surprise at all, and Sherwood does have a valid point, despite being a bit disrespectful towards the Bees.
