Tim Sherwood has responded to being asked whether he believes that Erik ten Hag will still be Manchester United manager by the end of the season.
Erik ten Hag is coming under increasing pressure at Old Trafford, with Manchester United going out of the Champions League with nothing more than a whimper this week.
Of course, the 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich came after a 3-0 loss against Bournemouth at the weekend. It was telling that the reaction to the loss to the Cherries was one of apathy rather than anger.
Tim Sherwood asked if Erik ten Hag will see out the season at Manchester United
Danny Murphy believes that ten Hag is done at Manchester United. And he suggested it is a case of when and not if he is sacked.

Sherwood is a little more optimistic for the Dutchman. However, it was hardly a glowing endorsement as he was asked on No Tippy Tappy Football whether ten Hag will see out the season.
“Yeah, I think he will – by default. I’m not sure who else is out there mid-season to go into a big job like that,” he said.
Manager change unlikely to address enough of the issues
It is hard to know where Manchester United do go from here. Ultimately, over the last decade, they have had a range of managers since Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down. And none have been able to really reignite the club and get it moving in the right direction again.
There have been moments of success for the likes of Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and even ten Hag. But they appear to be no closer to ending their wait for a title.
And the problem with sacking ten Hag now is, as Sherwood notes, that there does not appear to be an obvious replacement waiting in the wings.
So if they do get rid of ten Hag, there seems to be every chance that United will be back in the same situation at some stage in the near future.
