Tim Sherwood has compared Arsenal loanee Martin Odegaard to West Ham United’s on-loan star Jesse Lingard on Optus Sport‘s Analysis Show – claiming that while Lingard has more “thrust”, Odegaard is somewhat better in a different department.
Both players were in excellent form on Sunday afternoon, as the Gunners came from three goals down to snatch a 3-3 draw. Lingard, 28, opened the scoring with a brilliant half-volley from the edge of the area – and has since been recalled by England.
Meanwhile, Norway ace Odegaard made his 12th appearance for the Gunners and was crucial in their comeback – with Arsenal nabbing a points thanks to a late Alexandre Lacazette header after own goals from Tomas Soucek and Craig Dawson.
Sherwood was asked which one he would pick between Lingard and Odegaard after both impressed, and he stated that while Lingard is better in gaining territory and running with the ball – Odegaard has a better eye for a pass and superior vision.
