Tim Sherwood has responded to being asked whether Sean Dyche is the most underrated manager in the Premier League by insisting that he is doing an amazing job at Goodison Park.
Sherwood has said that he does not overlook what the Toffees boss has achieved on Merseyside, joking that Everton even needed the points deduction to make their campaign more interesting.
Sean Dyche has certainly silenced any doubters after Everton lost their first three games of the season.
Tim Sherwood lauds Sean Dyche for his amazing work at Everton
And it says everything about how well Dyche has done that Everton have been handed a 10-point deduction this season and yet, already find themselves out of the bottom three after just 16 games.

Tim Sherwood was asked on No Tippy Tappy Football whether Dyche is the most underrated manager in the Premier League right now. And he insisted that he is well aware of what a fantastic job he has done on Merseyside.
“Not by me,” he said.
“He’s just been amazing. And Dychey, against all the odds, siege mentality, fixed bayonets and all that. Ten point deduction.
“The job was exactly the same as what it is now to what it was at the beginning of the season, stay in the league. It’s just made it more exciting for them, because they were cruising. It was boring for Everton fans. They must have thought, ‘wow, we’re going to be mid-table, what’s the point in that?’
“All of a sudden, nick 10 points off them, make it more exciting. What were they? 23 points at this stage if they had got their 10 points back? Amazing. Amazing job he’s done.”
Toffees can soon start to look up
It always appeared to be such a smart move for Everton to appoint Dyche last season. Frank Lampard had kept the side up the year before. But the team appeared to be going backwards as his tenure went on.
They needed another great escape. But Dyche has been able to get his side to kick on. And they now look to be a lot better than the sides in the bottom three.
On their performances alone, Everton should have absolutely no problem staying in the Premier League this season.
And that may perhaps open the door for Dyche to switch some of his attention to how he is really going to take the team forward and ensure that their years of battling relegation are behind them.
