Tim Cahill told Match of the Day (broadcast on 21/9 from 22:30) that Tottenham Hotspur need to show more pride for the fans after they were beaten by Leicester City on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have won one of their last six games in all competitions. Remarkably, they have thrown away leads in three of their last four fixtures.

They were 1-0 up against the Foxes at the King Power Stadium, but conceded twice in the final 21 minutes. Spurs could now fall 10 points behind Liverpool should Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Chelsea on Sunday.
And after the game against Leicester, Cahill outlined what he believes need to change if Tottenham are going to get back on track.

“For me, it’s a mentality, leaders on the pitch,” he told Match of the Day. “To have that mark on them, 2-0 up against Arsenal, 2-0 up against Olympiakos, today. One win away in the last nine away games.
“For me, it just needs to be more about the team, more leaders. And a little bit more pride for the fans, for the badge they play for.”
Spurs clearly have the quality to turn their fortunes around. But the pressure is certainly on, with the likes of Bayern Munich and Liverpool ahead in their next seven games.
Tottenham responded superbly when the pressure was on last season. It is easy to forget how amazingly they fought back from their poor start in the Champions League to reach the knockout stages.
Pochettino’s men need to produce a similar turnaround in the coming weeks. And the Spurs boss will be hoping that it will start with an emphatic victory at Colchester United in the Carabao Cup this coming week.
