Everton have been busy in the transfer market during the summer, strengthening their squad across the park and trimming a bloated array of players.
Between Marco Silva and Marcel Brands, Everton have refined their transfer strategy from the days of Ronald Koeman and Steve Walsh and had plenty of hits last summer.
The likes of Moise Kean and Alex Iwobi are the big hopes this time and Everton will never have a better opportunity to break into the top six.
And former Toffee Tim Cahill took to Twitter to give his brief verdict on the new arrivals in response to a tweet by Sky Sports News and it’s clear that he’s a fan.
Everton have invested heavily and it seems shrewd once more, with young, hungry players coming into positions that they needed to strengthen.
Kean is the big gamble and the one that needs to pay off because Everton were short of goals last season and it’s so tough to break into the top six without a reliable marksman.
But Cahill is right to be enthused by what Silva and Brands have done in the market and it could be a really exciting season ahead for his old club, if the new blood all clicks.
