Tierney's loyalty to Celtic should prove greater than his desire to reunite with Rodgers
Celtic defender Kieran Tierney is wanted by Arsenal to help Unai Emery reshape the club’s defence in the summer, according to the Sun.
They report that the Gunners are plotting a £25m raid on Parkhead for the Scotland international after tracking him for the past two seasons.
Elsewhere, the same paper reports that recently-departed Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers wants Tierney to join him at Leicester City if he loses Ben Chilwell to Manchester City in the coming window.
Tierney reportedly has a contract until 2023, so Celtic hold substantial power in any negotiation – but they have also seen how strong the lure of the Premier League can be to highly-rated figures north of the border.

But Tierney is a Celtic boy through and through and shouldn’t be as willing to jump ship as Rodgers due to that loyalty to the club.
It’s easy to see that playing and winning trophies for Celtic is an absolutely dream come true for the Scotsman; that’s why he’s committed himself to the club until 2023 and why he didn’t leave the club last summer.
It’s difficult to see Tierney letting his relationship with the club deteriorate to the extent that Rodgers did and his loyalty to the club should burn a lot more brightly than his desire to engineer a reunion with his former boss at the King Power Stadium.
