A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the report claiming alleged Gunners target Thomas Partey is out for a number of weeks due to a thigh injury.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder has been linked with Mikel Arteta’s side for a number of months and, according to Mundo Deportivo, is a priority target for the Emirates Stadium side.
Speculation linking Partey to Arsenal gathered pace in April when his father told Tru FM’s Sports World Show – as transcribed by Football London – that both parties had been in contact about a possible switch to London.

However, GhanaSoccerNet claimed last week that Partey will instead put pen to paper on a new £135,000-per-week deal at the Wanda Metropolitano, which will see him more than double his wages and increase his release clause from £45million.
One of the latest updates on the saga came on Monday from Fabrizio Romano, who claimed on his Twitter account that Partey is still in contract talks with Atleti and that Arsenal are waiting for his decision.
Now, Marca claim that Partey has injured his thigh muscle and is set to be out for several weeks as a result, making him a doubt for Atleti’s Champions League quarter-final clash against RB Leipzig.
