Three signings Liverpool should still make this summer

Mahmoud Dahoud

With Lucas Leiva linked with a move away and Joe Allen reportedly set to depart, the Reds are looking a little light in central midfield, with only Emre Can, James Milner and Jordan Henderson as senior members of the squad, who suffered an injury struck season in 2015/16. Although Klopp can also call upon youngsters Marko Grujic and Kevin Stewart, Dahoud would be the perfect addition.

The German 20-year-old made 41 appearances for Borussia Monchengladbach last season and shot to fame, earning two international under 21 caps in the process. A defensive-minded player who would work well alongside Emre Can, he is known to bomb forward with box to box runs every now and again and scored an impressive five goals for such a player last season.

Jurgen Klopp is sure to be aware of Dahoud, and the Guardian linked him with a move to Anfield earlier this summer, but he has reportedly been told that he is going nowhere this summer.

Still at an early stage of his development, another season of first choice football and improvement in the Bundesliga could mean that he is an even more rounded; and possibly expensive, player next summer, so Klopp might be tempted to snap him up now.
