Hugo Lloris is truly world class

Putting the result to one side, just how good is Hugo Lloris? Tottenham Hotspur genuinely have one of the world’s best on their books, and they have a safe pair of hands to rely upon in times of need. Every side who have any hopes of genuine title aspirations, they need that top quality goalkeeper and Lloris is certainly that.

That save he made to deny Javier Hernandez from opening the scoring was absolutely out of this world, and on top of that he made countless other stops to keep his side in the game which is the mark of a world class player.

All-in-all, it was a decent night for Spurs. With home games against Leverkusen and CSKA Moscow still to come, you have to say they are in a strong position when it comes to qualification.
