West Brom’s impressive season shows no sign of changing
In a division that is dominated by the ‘Big Six’, it is sometimes easy to overlook the achievements of other clubs. West Brom have flown under the radar this season but they have established themselves firmly in the top half of the table and are in absolutely no danger of being sucked into a relegation battle. This draw with West Ham, courtesy of a last-gasp leveller, extended their unbeaten run to four matches. In fact, they have lost only once since Boxing Day. Tony Pulis came in for heavy criticism earlier in the season, but the stability at boardroom level and a new contract has had the desired effect. It is apparent that the players are giving everything for the manager and fans. Realistically, West Brom can finish no higher than seventh, but the fact that such a position is even being mentioned is huge testament to their endeavours. Defensively sound and with more quality in attack, their star is on the rise.
