Gabbiadini the star as Southampton romp to victory

Southampton new boy Manolo Gabbiadini certainly knows how to make an immediate impact at a club after arriving from Napoli just last month.

In his two Premier League appearances, Gabbiadini has had four shots on target, created three chances and scored three times all in the space of 162 minutes of football.

The 25-year-old had a sensational match at the Stadium of Light, leading the attack superbly with five shots at goal; and his second goal is worth watching, turning excellently inside the area to finish off a well-crafted team move.

Southampton’s season had started to tail off since the festive period after only one win in seven matches, but Gabbiadini looks set to re-ignite a spark in Claude Puel’s Premier League campaign.
