Jordan Pickford Looks A Real Prospect.

Only 22 years of age, Pickford has had to be patient and endure many a loan spell to get a chance at his hometown club, but was their standout performer at White Hart Lane. Goalkeeper has been a problem position in recent times for Sunderland, with the skittish Costel Pantilimon and Vito Mannone between the sticks.

Pickford may not be the tallest, but commanded his box well and came out to claim crosses on a few different occasions. His agility and shot-stopping was impressive, with one save that denied Erik Lamela particularly eye catching. Pickford made a bad error away at Southampton earlier in the season which cost his team two points, but has recovered well which shows he has a decent temperament.

He did not deserve to be on the losing side today, and has every right to be furious with Papy Djilobodji for gifting Kane the softest of goals.
