Sadio Mane is one of the candidates for signing of the season

On his day, there is almost nobody in the Premier League who can match Sadio Mane. At his best once again after a slightly disappointing run of form since returning from the African Cup of Nations, Mane ran rings around Nacho Monreal from start to finish on Saturday evening.

His superb dribbling and skill, the Gunners could not afford him an inch of space. When cutting inside, Mane proved how deadly he can be, popping up at just the right time to expertly control the ball and fire it straight into the top corner past Petr Cech just before the break.

Whilst another former Southampton man was also excellent in Adam Lallana, Mane is looking like one of the best buys that Liverpool have made in many years when he produces displays like he did against Arsenal.
