Hernandez’s return to form is a timely one

The Uruguayan was voted Hull’s player of the season last year but has endured a difficult time in the Premier League as he struggled to adjust to the step-up in class. Before this victory, Hernandez had scored only one league goal for the Tigers, but his return to the goalscoring trail against Bournemouth bodes well for the remainder of the campaign. Unsurprisingly given their position in the table, Hull have found goals difficult to come by. If Hernandez can become a reliable marksman, it will give Silva one less thing to worry about. Of course, all strikers rely on good service and with Snodgrass in the side, there is plenty of that. But the chances still need to be put away. Hernandez got himself in the right position more often than not with good movement, pulling the Cherries defenders out of position. For him, this needs to be a catalyst.
