Three things we learnt from Chelsea’s five goal destruction of Everton

Eden Hazard is back to his best

Five goals in four games is the Belgian’s current streak, and that sees him beat his tally of four goals in 31 games in the entirety of last season. Excelling in Conte’s new set-up, Hazard is finally back to the incredible form which saw him win the PFA Player of the Year award in 2014.

Hazard produced a truly magical display to ensure that his Chelsea team saw off Everton in style, with his first strike coming early on before setting Pedro up to play Marcos Alonso in to score just 23 seconds later. With a two goal lead inside 20 minutes, the Belgian showed how he really can be a matchwinner.

The Chelsea number 10 brought the best out of his teammates too as Diego Costa made the most of the superb service given to him, with Pedro also benefiting from his interchanges and runs inside, dragging the Everton backline all over the place.
