Hazard doesn’t score tap-ins
Another night, another game where Chelsea’s Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard stole the show.
This time he received the ball from Kante just over the half-way line, running at pace towards West Ham’s defenders before playing a sublime one-two with Pedro and having the determination to get to the return ball first, knock the ball around Darren Randolph and slot home into an empty net.
It wasn’t quite as memorable as his sublime solo effort against Arsenal a month ago, but it certainly showed that the 26-year-old is currently having the season of his life in the Premier League.
Not only did his goal break the deadlock for Chelsea, Hazard was a thorn in the Hammers’ side all evening, creating two further chances and completing 88% of his passes in the final third.
