Three things we learnt from Arsenal and Tottenham’s North London Derby draw

Arsenal are still lacking a goalscorer

For all of Alexis Sanchez’s superb movement, dragging Kevin Wimmer and Jan Vertonghen all over the place, it was not enough to find the net. On another day, Alex Iwobi and Theo Walcott both had chances that could have found the back of the net, but the Gunners only goal came courtesy of a Wimmer own goal.

Olivier Giroud has been impressive as an impact substitute of late, finding the net three times in his last two appearances from the bench, but he failed to influence the game with poor service meaning he couldn’t replicate that form when it most mattered in a heated derby.

Summer signing Lucas Perez may have been able to add that poacher’s instinct that was so sorely missing, but with him out injured and little strength in depth up top, Gunners fans are left wondering what could be if they were to finally add a prolific goalscorer to this team.
