Spurs missed Harry Kane desperately, but do they now have a new worry?

Spurs failed to score in open play in their past five games, so the return of Harry Kane to lead the line at the Emirates was more than welcome. Kane did find the net, albeit from the penalty spot, and his performance was a promising one as he caused problems throughout.

Kane’s return is likely to mean that the goals will come a bit more easily in the coming weeks, even with tough fixtures against West Ham, Monaco and Chelsea to come after the international break.

However, the fear will be that Spurs will struggle without Dele Alli. The midfielder is expected to be out for “a few weeks” with a knee injury, and without him Tottenham failed to effectively link up midfield with attack. The lack of connection was one of the main reasons that Kane could not find a second with such poor service provided.
