Theo Walcott has been a great servant for Arsenal

A lot was expected from Theo Walcott when he was signed by Arsenal. He was one of the most exciting talents in English football and it was seen as a great move to bring him to the club at a young age. Many will state that he hasn’t fulfilled his potential, but he has been a very good player for the club and he marked this evening with his 100^th strike for the club. That is an incredible achievement for a player that has suffered from injuries and hasn’t always been a first team regular. At the age of 27, he will be hoping that he can stay fit and play a major part for Arsenal over the next couple of years.

It was a great finish from the English international and he was one of the better Arsenal players on the night. He worked hard and didn’t let the level of the opposition affect his motivation. The attacker is very professional and he deserves a lot of credit for his performance this evening. The minimum that is expected from a player is that he works hard and approaches every game with the right mentality. Walcott certainly did that and it was great to see him score his 100^th goal for the club.
