Phillipe Coutinho – The best player in the Premier League?

The Brazilian magician is at the top of his game at the moment and there can be little doubt, perhaps with the exception of Eden Hazard, that he is by far and away the best player in the Premier League in the 2016/2017 season.

The 24-year-old added his fifth goal and fifth assist of the season to give the Reds and early lead against the Hornets just when it was looking as though things may not go their way, and he went to create a further three chances as he single handedly made the Watford backline look like amateurs.

Combined with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane up front, Coutinho has found the perfect combination to show just what he is capable of and produce magnificent displays on a regular basis. Previously he has shown that he can be decisive, but this season he is showing to be world class.
