Three things we learned from Manchester United's weekend victory over Leicester City
The Community Shield marks the beginning of the football season and it featured Jose Mourinho’s first match in charge of Manchester United. After three years of underachievement, Manchester United supporters will be hoping that Jose Mourinho is the man to lead them back to the upper echelons of English football.
The first signs were positive as they beat Leicester City 2-1 in the curtain raiser, clinching the first piece of silverware of the new era. Leicester had an extraordinary season last year, winning the Premier League against all odds. Although they lost on Sunday, they will have taken many positives from the game.
