Harry Kane looks burned out

The England international looked to be suffering from a Euro 2016 hangover and hardly threatened on Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t all his fault as the service provided was poor and Everton’s closing down was non-stop. The home side recognised his threat and marshalled him well. However, he needs to influence matches for Spurs and still has a lot of work to do before being considered as a world class striker.

His rise to the top has been great to watch, but the amount of games he has been asked to play has taken its toll. He has been away with England for the last two summers and Spurs have only recently brought in another striker to the club. Kane has played a lot of football and he needs to be managed better this season. Vincent Janssen looked threatening when he came on and his arrival should lead to more rests for Kane, which are much needed.
