Three things to look out for when Stoke City face Sunderland this weekend

Expect lots of goals … or maybe not?

These two sides hold the undesirable privilege of possessing two of the worst defensive records in the Premier League this campaign. Only West Ham have conceded more goals than Stoke City and The Potters have conceded four goals in three of their last six league fixtures whilst Sunderland having conceded thirteen goals in seven matches. Between them, on average these two sides let in over two goals per game – so goals are a definite in this game, right?

Well maybe not, because the neither Stoke nor Sunderland are faring much better at the other end of the pitch either. The Potters are the lowest scorers in The Premier League this season, finding the net just five times, whilst The Black Cats have scored just one more. Something has to give, so either expect a goal fest or an uninspiring goalless draw.
