The Premier League’s bottom two club’s go head to head this weekend as Stoke City host Sunderland at the Bet365 Stadium.
Both clubs have made a poor start to the new campaign, appear feeble at both ends of the pitch, and have yet to win a league fixture this season, whilst Mark Hughes and David Moyes are both under pressure to turn their team’s fortunes around. Here is what to look out for:
A turning point and change in fortune
Keep a look out for the proverbial “this game is a relegation six pointer” cliché on Saturday afternoon. Of course there is no such thing as a six pointer but this match certainly feels like a game that could determine the fortunes of both clubs and the futures of their managers. Mark Hughes and David Moyes possess a vast array of Premier League experience between them yet both of their teams have made a poor start to the season and currently prop up the Premier League table without a win between them in fourteen league matches. You sense that this is a fixture that both managers need to win to turn their clubs fortunes around.
