Stoke’s revival continues
After picking up just one point from their opening five Premier League fixtures of the campaign, including conceding four goals on three separate occasions, the Potters have now gone six games unbeaten picking up twelve points in the process.
Stoke City have been rewarded for keeping faith in Mark Hughes and the Welshman appears to have found a formula that has made his side harder to beat and more dangerous going forwards.
Stoke were deserving of a share of the spoils in West London having negated the attacking threat of The Hammers for long spells and looking dangerous on the break. It is also significant that they picked up a result without the help of two of their key players.
In the absence of Marko Arnautovic (suspended) and Xherdan Shaqiri (injured) it was the unlikely starring performances of Charlie Adam and nineteen year-old Egyptian winger Ramadam Sobhi, making his first start for the club, that helped to earn the visitors to claim a point.
Their recent unbeaten run has eased Stoke into a more comfortable mid-table position that leaves The Potters looking upwards towards the Europa League rather than over their shoulders.
