Sunderland won’t survive this season

The North East club have been involved in the relegation fight for the past several years, but they have always found a way to survive. This time, that doesn’t look likely and it seems that their time as a Premier League club is coming to an end.

They have an uninspiring manager, who has already accepted the team’s fate, while the players lack the drive and talent to turn it around. The Black Cats are now ten points from safety and they have little chance of recovering from this position.

The good thing for the club is that they now have the opportunity to rebuild the club. Newcastle United have shown that relegation can be a positive and they are now set to come back into the Premier League as a powerful force once again.

Sunderland can learn a lot from their local rivals and use this relegation to enact positive change. They need to appoint an ambitious and strong manager, who is ready to take on the challenge of leading the revival, before giving him full reign to make changes to the squad.

It has been an awful past few years for the club with little for supporters to cheer about, but they now have a chance to turn their fortunes around outside of the Premier League. They need to take it.
