Leicester’s focus is entirely on the Champions League
Defeat on Sunday afternoon ended Leicester’s five-match unbeaten run since Craig Shakespeare took over from Claudio Ranieri but it was clear to see the Foxes’ priority didn’t lay with Everton.
With a trip to Spain to play Spanish giants Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals coming up on Wednesday, the visitors were a much-changed side at Goodison Park with the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Danny Simpson and Wilfred Ndidi all rested ahead of this week’s last eight exploits.
With Premier League safety assured after their recent up-turn of form, Leicester can now focus all of their energy into trying to cause one of the biggest scalps in Europe – and rightly so.
They showed in the previous round that they’re not scared of anyone, and if they can try and grab that all important away goal in the Spanish capital then anything is possible at the King Power.
