Three stand-out performers Spurs should target from Euro 2016

Arkadiusz Milik (Ajax and Poland)

The exciting Polish striker has impressed at Euro 2016, partnering Robert Lewandowski up front in a team that defeated Northern Ireland and could have beaten Germany. Milik scored the only goal in their opening fixture against Northern Ireland, beating goalkeeper Michael McGovern with a powerful left-footed drive.

Milik has been so impressive because he always seems to be in the right place, at the right time – the striker had several chances to add to his tally against the Northern Irish, and also had the best chance of the game against Germany.

Whilst he may be missing a clinical edge to his game, the Polish striker is only 22, and will only improve with age – especially under the Pochettino regime, which is renowned for its development of young players like Erik Lamela and Harry Kane. Milik currently plays his football for Ajax, in the Eredivisie, and would join the likes of Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen in having played for both clubs.

Milik will have ambitions to play in bigger leagues and with bigger clubs, so a move doesn’t look impossible, especially if Spurs come in with an offer Ajax can’t refuse.
