Not only is Euro 2016 providing great entertainment for fans, it is a fantastic opportunity for players and managers alike as players look to put themselves in the shop window with eye catching performances and managers look to scout talent to bring to their clubs.
The question is, who should Jurgen Klopp look to bring to Liverpool from this summer’s Euros? Over the next few pages, we pick out the top three options for The Reds. If you have any thoughts on the selection, don’t forget to comment below.
Ask any Liverpool fan the biggest weakness in the current team, and they will more than likely say the left-back position.
Alberto Moreno is not competent enough defensively, and is questionable in attack, and there is little back-up with Jose Enrique now released, and Joe Gomez naturally being a centre-back in all honesty.
However, German Jonas Hector could be an answer to the problem.
The 26-year-old is part of Joachim Low’s 23-man squad in the Euros, and has been solid thus far in the tournament. Klopp will also be familiar with Hector after his time in the Bundesliga, as Jonas currently plays for FC Köln.
Hector is the perfect modern day full-back, and is unlikely to set Liverpool back too much money.
