Three signings Tottenham should make before the end of the summer
Spurs have been rather insipid in their friendly clashes, worrying signs for a team who finished last season with such a whimper. While Mauricio Pochettino has yet to welcome back most of his Euro-involved charges, and with the signing of Georges-Kévin N’Koudou imminent, preseason has exposed some frailties in the depth of this Spurs team.
Poch will hope to hit the ground running at Goodison Park and sustain pressure on the top four through the end of the season. However, the lethargy of the current squad could hamper those ambitions.
The Premier League is shaping up to be an ultra-competitive grudge match, an unprecedented clash of egos. If Poch is to emerge unscathed by the brazen tactics of his contemporaries he will have to dip back into the transfer market. In a recent interview he admitted that Spurs’ transfer activity is yet to be concluded.
Here are three signings Spurs should make before deadline day.
