Three signings Tottenham could make on deadline day

After a bright start to the summer, Tottenham fans have become frustrated at the lack of business done at their club. It is understandable given the signings that have been made at rival clubs, but Spurs are stable and already have an excellent squad of players. They are on track to become regulars in the top four and they have supplemented their side impressively this summer. Although there isn’t a huge need for deadline day business, Daniel Levy is believed to want a big signing today to strengthen the attacking options. Here are three players who Tottenham should target:

Isco

It was a link that came out of nowhere, but the possibility of Isco moving to Tottenham on loan is growing. Tottenham need more options in attack after selling Nacer Chadli, otherwise they will become reliant on Christian Eriksen. He is the main playmaker of the side and has struggled during the opening three matches. This has caused problems for Spurs, mainly their inability to create chances in open play. The Dane will go through bad patches of form and Tottenham need another player to take the responsibility when he does.

Isco is a great player and one with world class potential. His vision and ability to pick a pass ranks him as one of the best creative midfielders in Europe. The Spaniard is a victim of Real Madrid’s transfer policy that leads to the club stockpiling attacking talent. However this same policy allows clubs like Tottenham to easily attain quality players and if they manage to sign Isco, it will be a great pick up. It may create problems for Mauricio Pochettino in terms of team selection, but they are good problems and a move would create excitement within the fan-base once more.
