Three signings to cement Tottenham as title contenders next season

Next season already looks a superb clash of privilege, huge egos going head-to-head looking to dispel notions that keep them on the threshold of sporting greatness. Pep Guardiola is no flat track bully, Jose Mourinho no destructive machiavellian force, and Arsene Wenger no specialist in failure.

Antonio Conte’s legacy at Juventus was compromised by  Massimiliano Allegri’s Champion’s League run, and Jurgen Klopp’s gegen-pressing has yet to truly tear up the League. All this and we’ve yet to mention last season’s two standout clubs; Leicester and Spurs.

If Spurs are to contend for the title next season they need to be bullish in the transfer market, to strengthen in areas that already appear secure. They might have to sacrifice a fan’s favourite, or bring in a world-class player where there already exist quality options.
