The constant stream of departing talent has meant that the Saints recruitment has been forced to be excellent over the last few years, and for the most part they have succeeded. But after just two points from their opening three Premier League games, including disappointing home draws to Watford and Sunderland, there are already suggestions that they might be a little light this season, especially with impending Europa League commitments.
