Would this Palace star be one of three perfect signings for Leicester City?

The fairy-tale story of Leicester City reached its conclusion last week when their Premier League title was confirmed with Spurs’ inability to defeat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, sparking scenes of celebration in Jamie Vardy’s home and throughout the city. The party has continued ever since and for many, is unlikely to stop for some time. Nevertheless, at some point, thoughts must turn to next season and how The Foxes can prevent this campaign from being a flash in the pan.

With their unprecedented success comes the reward of Champions League football – qualifying for the group stages in pot one too – which will allow them to attract players of greater quality but also of course comes with its own demands. The additional fixtures against Europe’s elite are something that Leicester players have not had to cope with this season, and they will require a much greater squad depth than that which they currently boast.

In an astute move, Claudio Ranieri has already declared that he does not want to disrupt the astoundingly high spirit within the dressing room by bringing in star names with a significant ego. So, while they will certainly have a greater amount of cash to splash around, the right sort of signing is clearly what they are on the look-out for. Three potential acquisitions that fit the bill are included on the next few pages, as is Leicester City’s possible line-up for 2016/17 should all of them materialise.
