Djibril Sidibe – Monaco
Monaco have been the fashionable club this summer as top European clubs continue to move for the Ligue 1 champions’ players. Djibril Sidbe could interest Tottenham after some strong showings at right-back during the last 12 months.
The 24-year-old is another player at the club with huge potential and he possesses a similar playing style to Walker. He signed a new five-year contract, which will have increased the price. This makes things difficult for buying clubs looking at the player, but a move away isn’t impossible.
From the three players looked at during this article, Sidibe had the best final third contribution with two goals and five assists. This may not be a surprise considering he was playing in one of the most exciting attacking teams in Europe. He only created 1.04 chances per ninety minutes, which is fewer than both Pereira and Cedric.
Defensively, his positioning can be questionable, but his 3.79 ball recoveries per ninety minutes show that he can regain possession. His aerial duels won percentage of 65.31% is extremely impressive.
Sidibe would be a good signing, but his contractual situation means that a move for one of the other two full-backs would make more financial sense for Tottenham.
