Three reasons why Chelsea can win the Premier League title

The tactical flexibility that exists in the squad now

The signings made during the summer have added quality, but they have also provided Antonio Conte with different tactical options. Chelsea have become predictable over the past 12 months and teams knew how to set up against the Blues.

This season though, that will not be the case, as Conte has the option to field 3-5-2, 4-3-3, 4-2-4 and 4-2-3-1 with the players available to him. The Italian is pragmatic and will change tactics depending on the opposition.

Michy Batshuayi has been a great addition and has already proven his worth as an impact substitute, making match-winning contributions in two of the three league matches to date. The option to play him alongside Diego Costa is a dangerous weapon to have for Conte and he has already used it twice to great effect.

On deadline day, Chelsea signed Marcos Alonso who arrives with little fanfare, but adds a lot to the squad. He is left-footed and can provide balance to the defence at left back, allowing Cesar Azpilicueta to move back to his natural side. Furthermore, he is capable of playing left sided centre back in a 3-5-2, finally providing Conte with the opportunity to use his favoured formation.

Chelsea will be far from predictable under Conte and that will make them dangerous, especially when they are facing rivals at the top of the league.
