Scottish champions Celtic look set to sign Australian wonderkid Daniel Arzani on a two-year loan deal once the 19-year-old has joined Manchester City from Melbourne City.
The Daily Record states that the complicated deal is close to being agreed between Celtic and Manchester City and that the youngster will play his football at Parkhead under Brendan Rodgers for the next two seasons.
Arzani is arguably the most sought-after young talent to ever come out of Austrailia and became the youngest player ever to appear in the World Cup this summer; making three appearances from the bench.

Brendan Rodgers is renown for giving young talent a chance
In all his managerial positions to date, Brendan Rodgers has always given youngsters the chance to prove themselves worthy of playing in the starting XI.
Arzani in no doubt possesses the talent to play in Celtic’s side this season, and there’s no better league than the Scottish Premiership for the 19-year-old to get some playing time under his belt.
Rodgers is the ideal manager for Arzani to learn his footballing trade from, and the Austrailian international couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity than this to get some silverware in his trophy cabinet.
“He could be an X-factor when you need it late in a game when you need to chase a goal, he can come on and beat players and create something out of nothing.”
– Former Melbourne City teammate, Thomas Sorensen, speaking about Arzani.
A compatriot whose done it all with Celtic
Arzani will join Australian international teammate Tom Rogic at Parkhead, and the 25-year-old is a perfect example of the things Arzani could achieve with Celtic playing under Rodgers.
Rogic joined Celtic from Central Coast Mariners in 2013 and has since vastly improved his all-round game, picking up eight domestic titles along the way.
Patrick Roberts’ loan success
This isn’t the first time Celtic have acquired the services of young talent from Manchester City. Patrick Roberts was a huge success during his three loan spells in Glasgow and is living proof of how valuable of loanee can be to the side.
If Arzani could emulate Roberts’ success in his two-year loan spell with Celtic, the Scottish champions will be onto a real winner.
