If Arsenal choose to invest the Ozil money in other areas, they could look closer to home. A man still idolised by many Arsenal fans, Wilshere will be back this summer after his loan at Bournemouth. Moved to the south coast to prove his fitness, Wilshere has made 19 appearances, his highest since 2013/14 (24), with games still to play.

Injuries have made many blind to his qualities which are still there. Direct running, a diverse passer of the ball and hard-worker, his confidence will have been boosted ready to stake his claim back for an Arsenal shirt come August.
