Three players who impressed during Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Wolves

Having been recalled from his impressive loan spell at Bournemouth, where the 22-year-old scored three times, Ake was expected to break into Antonio Conte’s Premier League starting XI. Yet, the Dutch defender hasn’t featured in the league for Chelsea yet and has instead only been used in FA Cup matches.

Ake featured in the 4-0 win against Brentford and played another 90 minutes against Wolves as he helped Chelsea to the FA Cup quarter-finals. The 22-year-old looked secure next to John Terry in the left centre-back role and helped Pedro deal with the threat of Helder Costa.
