Joe Hart – Manchester City

The Guardian say that the England number one is set to join the Irons on a season-long loan deal which will be the perfect agreement for all parties. Hart may no longer be the unbeatable goalkeeper that he once was after questionable form in Italy with Torino, but he has a point to prove ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

West Ham’s goalkeepers had problems of their own last season, with both Adrian and Darren Randolph dropped at different times after their errors cost the team points. Hart may not be the player he once was, but he is certainly an upgrade.

A loan deal will give the club the option to not be forced to committing to a long term contract if it emerges that Hart is no longer up to scratch, but will also give them the safety to have one of England’s best goalkeepers for the next season and put themselves in a strong position to make the deal permanent next summer.
